DHS FCCLA sends one to Nationals

Dublin’s Ayush Patel is heading to nationals in Job Interview competition following a first place finish at the state Family, Career and Community Leaders of America competition held April 8-10 in Dallas.

Patel also received a $70 scholarship for placing first.

Dublin FCCLA sponsors reported that the top five teams from each of Texas’ regions compete at the state event with all of the competitors facing each other, regardless of school size.

“All 11 groups that made it to state competed at a high level and represented our school well,” said FCCLA sponsors on the group’s Facebook page.

Also placing high at the state event for Dublin state event for Dublin were:

■Daisy Almazan and Celeste Alvarez - 4th place, Chapter in Review Portfolio Level 3

■Chloe Cisneroz and Karyna Lopez - 4th place, Interpersonal Communications Level 2

Also qualifying for state competition for Dublin were:

■Jasmine Munoz and Jimena Vasquez - Interpersonal Communications Level 3

■Tayler Smith - Job Interview Level 3

■ Sarah Resendiz and Michelle Padron - National Programs in Action Level 2

■ Dolores Lopez, Anayeli Ramirez, and Jazmin Borjon - National Programs in Action Level 3

■ Naomi Dudley and Veronica Rodriguez - Professional Presentation Level 3

■ Cynthia Martin and Paula Garcia - Sustainability Challenge Level 3

■ Emilee Beam and Makaylie Garcia - Promote and Publicize Level 3

■ Karina Ortega - Chapter in Review Display Level 2
