Lions snap back at Greyhounds

The Dublin Lions rallied in back-to-back games against the Peaster Greyhounds last week.

In their first bout, Dublin traveled to Peaster Monday. March 9 where Peaster took the win 11-0.

Dublin gained the home field advantage and better stats against their foe when the Lions hosted Peaster Friday, March 13 in a 9-4 loss for the home team.

Before Peaster could take the win, Lions Ivan Phelps, Dalton Bullard, Kyler Gaitan and Jaiden Gauna each drew hits and Joe Salinas got two walks.

Head Dublin baseball coach Andrew Norwood expressed pride in his team, saying: “They battled to the end. That’s what I love about them.”
