Senior Dublin Lady Lion Olivia Salyer passed 1,000 points on the varsity team Tuesday, Feb. 3 when she added 13 points to aid in the 68-49 away victory against Breckenridge.
Those points brought her to 1,010 by the end of the game.
“We are all very proud of her,” head girls basketball coach Waylon Salinas relayed on behalf of the coaching staff. “She is a hard working, very talented athlete who has battled through adversity the last few years, especially through injuries. Olivia is a tough individual whose fighting spirit never stops.”
Salinas called the milestone a well- deserved accomplishment for “a great leader and a great role model for our Lion family, present and future. We are truly going to miss her both on and off the court. We wish her the best of luck in all her future endeavors.”
