The Dublin Lady Lions battled Breckenridge and Comanche as they continued to heal several injuries in the roster.

“We didn’t have all of our starters against Comanche and moved some JV up,” said head girls basketball coach Waylon Salinas of the Tuesday, Jan. 6 bout. Salinas admitted they weren’t at 100% in the 87-11 loss. Although they were still healing in the Friday, Jan. 10 game against Breckenridge, they still fought strong in the 46-34 loss.

Olivia Salyer and Adriana Stewart led Dublin scoring at 10 points each followed by Derby Kukla with 5, Ismari Molina with 4, Regan Vanbebber and Bayli Jackson with 2 and Savannah Chacon with 1.

“We had one foul out and 1 get into foul trouble early,” said Salinas at the beginning of the week. “We’re looking forward to play as we get healthier.”
