The Dublin Lions clawed their way through a fierce home court battle against Breckenridge Friday, Jan. 9.
“We had a tight game early but had a brutal 2nd Quarter on offense,” said head Dublin boys basketball coach Wes Grisham on the 58-37 loss. “We didn’t get any momentum until late in the 4th Quarter closing the gap to 11 but freethrows gave them the separation for the win.”
Jayden DeLeon led Dublin scoring with 10 pts, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 5 steals.
Alex Teten racked up 8 pts, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals. Hunter Jones snagged 7 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Joe Salinas scored 4 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. Jorge Solis had 5 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
This followed a 59-44 away loss to Comanche Tuesday, Jan. 6.
