The Dublin Lady Lions faced Comanche in their senior night game Tuesday, Oct. 14 that began with the senior players escorted on the court by family and friends.

Senior honored included: Ingrid Hernandez, Yasmin Esparza, Derby Kukla, Emma Mitchell, Olivia Salyer, Sandra Vasquez and manager Nomi Thompson.

Comanche took the game in three sets but the Lady Lions made them work for the win scoring 18 to the Maidens’ 25 in sets 1 and 2 and 24 to Comanche’s 26 in set 3.

“While we hoped to take it to more sets, we still played stronger and more composed than before,” said dead volleyball coach Hannah Smith. “The focus is to finish the season aggressive and continue shaking things up. These girls keep raising the bar, and it makes it hard to see the season coming to an end. Time is a thief when hard work starts paying off.”

Dublin traveled to Breckenridge Friday, Oct. 17 and put up another good fight, scoring 18, 23 and 16 to Breckenridge’s 25s.
