BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water slightly stained; 73 degrees; 0.49 feet above pool. Black bass to 8.01 pounds are slow in 5-15 feet of water all around the lake. With fish moving offshore cast Hag’s Tornados in green pumpkin, Tsunami Jigs and spinnerbaits. The last spawning wave is about done. Some bass are guarding fry and most are post spawn. Crappie are slow to 12 inches on jigs in 2-10 feet of water with a few spawning on the gravel flats. White bass are excellent to 2 pounds on crankbaits around the lake chasing the shad spawn and out of the lights at night. Catfish are slow on prepared bait, nightcrawlers and chicken livers.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 70 degrees; 0.21 feet below pool. Water temperatures are in the low 70s and continue to warm. Water flows from recent rains have stained the water on the upper ends, however the lower end is relatively clear. Watch out for floating debris. Striped bass to 10 pounds are possible on live shad and trolled Alabama Rigs on the lower ends. Some good topwater action is possible early and late. Sand bass are excellent on slabs, spinnerbaits and spoons fished in 10-20 feet of water from near Blue Water Shores to Indian Harbor to the Shores in town. Largemouth bass continue to be good in the back of sloughs or near main lake points with soft plastics, jigs, spinnerbaits and lipless crankbaits.

POSSUM KINGDOM FAIR. Water stained; 68 degrees; 0.40 feet below pool. Expect a slow striped bass bite until the water settles. Striper are slow suspending live bait 2 feet below a balloon or bobber fished in 5 feet or less water that is adjacent to the deep water. Other good places are deep ledges and main lake points. Sand bass are slow to fair when you can find clear water with live shad or small white or silver slabs in 15-25 feet of water. Catfish are fair to good fishing cut shad off the bottom in 2-10 feet of water. Baited holes are your best bet to catch numbers on punch bait. Bait with cattle cubes and wait 2-3 hours before fishing. Water clarity is steady at 1-8 feet of visibility and slightly stained, and near zero on the north end of the lake. Mud line has made it over half way down the lake.

PROCTOR

FAIR. Water stained; 70 degrees; 2.27 feet below pool. The lake is up after the recent rains. Reports of hybrid catches with topwater lures. Crappie can be caught in shallow water on jigs and minnows. Reports of white bass caught trolling in shallow water.

WEATHERFORD

FAIR. Water stained; 68 degrees; 5.14 feet below pool. Crappie are fair on brush piles with minnows and jigs. Bass are fair on soft plastics in deeper water. Catfish are slow. Water clarity is 8 inches..
