GOOD. Water slightly stained; 67 degrees; 0.49 feet above pool. Black bass up to 8.36 pounds are excellent in 1-5 feet of water all around the lake in spawning pockets on Hag’s Tornados in green pumpkin, Tsunami Jigs and White Outlier Frogs. Last spawning wave has moved up on beds. Some bass are guarding fry and some are post spawn. Crappie are good to 10 inches on jigs in 2-10 feet with a few spawning on the gravel flats. White bass are excellent to 2 pounds on crankbaits around the lake spawning in the rocks and out of the lights at night. Catfish to 5 pounds are slow on jug lines with cut bait, nightcrawlers and chicken livers.
GRANBURY
GOOD. Water stained; 70 degrees; 0.18 feet below pool. Granbury water temperatures are in the upper 60s to low 70s. The recent rains have filled up Possum Kingdom and there is a lot of flow through Granbury, so watch out for floating debris. The sand bass action has been excellent on many areas of the lake from Blue Water Shores to Decordova to the Shores in town. Bouncing a slab or spoon will put sandbass in the boat. Crappie continue to be good in the backs of creeks on small minnows and jigs. Largemouth bass are also good on soft plastics, lipless crankbaits and spinnerbaits in the shallows on most every creek and slough. Blue catfish are good on cut shad fished on channel breaks from Decordova subdivision to near Water’s Edge. Striped bass are fair to good on live shad and trolled Alabama rigs from near the dam to near the Decordova subdivision. Striped bass to 10 pounds are possible. Hope to see you on the water.
POSSUM KINGDOM FAIR. Water stained; 68 degrees; 0.32 feet below pool. Striper are slow suspending live bait 2 feet below a balloon or bobber fished in 5 feet or less water that is adjacent to the deep water. Other good places are deep ledges and main lake points. Sand bass are fair when you can find clear water with live shad or small white or silver slabs in 15-25 feet of water. Catfish are still fair to good on cut shad in 20-30 feet and 10-15 feet of water fished on the bottom. Baited holes are your best bet to catch numbers on punch bait. Bait with cattle cubes and wait 2-3 hours before fishing. Water clarity is steady at 1-8 feet of visibility and slightly stained, and near zero on the north end of the lake.
PROCTOR
FAIR. Water stained; 65 degrees; 0.18 feet below pool. Few reports after the recent weather. Crappie can be caught in shallow water on jigs and minnows. Reports of white bass caught trolling in shallow water.
