BROWNWOOD
SLOW. Water slightly stained; 58 degrees; 0.21 feet below pool. Black bass to 8.96 pounds are fair off the rocks with bladed jigs around the flats and staging areas and squarebill crankbaits in 2-14 feet. Fish will be in a holding pattern until the weather stabilizes, then there will be a huge push to the banks to spawn. Crappie are fair with catches up to 11 inches on jigs in 8-12 feet. White bass are good to 1.5 pounds on crankbaits in the Bayou. Catfish are fair on jug lines with cut bait and nightcrawlers.
GRANBURY
GOOD. Water stained; 60 degrees; 0.16 feet below pool. Water temperatures have been varying from the upper 50s to the low 60s depending on the weather. Spring winds come and go, so be careful on the water with high winds. Striped bass fishing has been hit-andmiss. Striped bass are good to 10 pounds using live shad or bream. Best reports for striped bass are from in town to Decordova area. Sand bass have been good on small spinnerbaits and minnows in the river near Tin Top and near Bentwater. Crappie and some largemouth bass are starting to move towards their spawning grounds especially on those warmer days. Limits of crappie have been reported near standing timber north of the railroad bridge. Largemouth bass are fair to 7 pounds near creek entrances using soft plastics. Big blue catfish are good on cut bait fished from Ports-O-Call to near Hunter park.
POSSUM KINGDOM FAIR. Water stained; 57 degrees; 0.47 feet below pool. Consistent conditions make for a consistent fishing pattern. Stripers are slow to fair and should start to pick up. Live bait is still putting fish in the boat each trip, but the fish are still super scattered in 30-50 feet of water. Sand bass are fair to good in creeks, but slowing down in the main lake. Fish should be up in the creeks getting ready to spawn. Use live shad or small jigs and rattle traps when in the creeks. Catfish are still fair to good with cut shad in 2-5 feet of water or 20-30 feet of water fished on the bottom. Water clarity is steady at 1-8 feet of visibility and slightly stained.
PROCTOR
FAIR. Water stained; 60 degrees; 0.06 feet above pool. Target catfish on windblown points and banks with fresh cut bait.
WEATHERFORD
FAIR. Water slightly stained; 60 degrees; 5.00 feet below pool. Crappie are fair in open water suspended 15 feet down with minnows. There are still a few in the crappie house and in boat slips. Bass are fair pushing shallow to spawning areas. Catfish are slow in deep water and around rocks. Water visibility is 7-8 inches.
WHITNEY
