Dublin High School is sending three Lady Lion powerlifters to state competition in Edinburg after they placed high at the Regional Competition in Dublin Saturday, March 1.
Candy Rodriguez took first place in the 148 class with a total lift of 745 pounds (305 squat, 180 bench press, 260 dead lift).
Joselyn Perez placed second in the 181 with a total of 850 (365 squat, 145 bench, 340 DL).
Cassidy Adair took silver in the 198 with a total of 900 (330 squat, 250 bench, 320 DL).
Also competing at the Regional level for Dublin were: Samantha Martinez (3rd in the 97) Kim Rojas (7th in the 105) Fatima Mendez (9th in the 220) Nomi Thompson (10th in the 132) Jaylie Williams (10th in the 148) Chloe Sullivan (10th in the 220)
