Dublin High School is sending 16 powerlifters to regional competition this season after they qualified at invitationals in recent weeks.
Qualifying Lady Lions will compete in the Regional 3A held in the Dublin gym March 1. Qualifying are: Kim Rojas, Candy Rodriguez, Samantha Martinez, Joselyn Perez, Ayleen Mendoza, Cassidy Adair, Fatima Mendez and Chloe Sullivan with alternates Nomi Thompson and Jaylie Williams.
Qualifying Lions faced regional competition Tuesday, Feb. 25 in Decatur. They were: Paul Adams, Alex Olvera, Alonso Moreno, Juan Elicerio, Luis Elicerio and alternate Jayden Balvantin.
Regional results will be provided in the March 6 edition of The Citizen.
Selections followed the appearance of several Lions at the boys last chance qualifier event in Strawn Thursday, Feb. 20.
