The Lingleville Cardinals stacked two more wins last week to bring their record to 21-8 for the season and 9-1 in district 22-A while also recognizing senior players.

“We got the chance Friday [Jan. 31] to recognize our 3 senior boys, Issac Martinez, Jorge Toledo, and Cruz Alarcon for all of their hard work and dedication to Lingleville basketball,” said head boys basketball coach Garrett Stewart. “They have left a lasting mark of the program and will be deeply missed by everyone. They aren’t done quite yet though, we’ve still got at least four games left in the season this year, hopefully more!”

The Cardinals scored a 49-30 win over Walnut Springs, and a 59-43 win over Iredell 59-43.

The Cardinals were led vs. Walnut Springs by Issac Martinez with 26, Jorge Toledo with 8, and the rest of the roster contributing 2-4 points each.

Martinez also led in scoring against Iredell with 27 followed by Jorge Toledo with 12. Garrett Hurt and Jaxson Rives both contributed 10 each.
