Erath athletes named all-state

Several local athletes were recognized on the state level last week as the Texas Press Association announced the Blue Bell/ Texas Sports Writers Association’s allstate volleyball teams.

Erath County athletes named all-state include the following:

Class 4A First Team

Middle blocker: Kierstyn Carlton, Stephenville, sr

Class 1A First Team

Libero/defensive specialist: McKenzey Grammar, Bluff Dale, jr.

Third Team

Middle blockers: Vada Anderson, Bluff Dale, soph.

Outside hitters: Lilly Paxton, Bluff Dale, jr.

Honorable Mention

Setter: Jacie Townsend, Bluff Dale, sr.
