Dublin Lions fan were treated to a big show in the early afternoon of Friday, Dec. 20 as the Lions battled rival Comanche to an 80-59 win on the home court.
“Our guys were hungry for this game and showed up,” said head Dublin boys basketball coach Wes Grisham. “It’s a lot of fun when you see our guys play with confidence and focus. Our team chemistry has been amplified since the Brady tournament and I have high expectations for the district championship.”
Hunter Jones led Dublin scoring with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 1 charge.
Alex Teten followed closely with 16 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists and 3 steals.

“I think we started the district season well competing with Peaster,” said Grisham. “We had a great start to the game with teams going at it. Our second quarter slowed us down but we amped it back up in the second half and gave them a scare at home.”
“We rallied back but had to gamble for the win and the pulled away,” he added. “I’m really proud of our guys and ready to play [Peaster] again back in Dublin.”
