Lingleville Cardinals clinched a 38-37 nailbiter Tuesday, Nov. 26 when they traveled to Hico to take on the Tigers.

“Hico played great, and gave us a hard time throughout the entire game,” said head Lingleville boys basketball coach Garrett Stewart. “It was a good game for us to see how we would play when things weren’t going our way.”

Despite a shooting slump for the Cards going 35% from the floor, Lingleville stayed in the game and took the win.

“I’m proud of the boys for not giving up and fighting until the end,” said Stewart.

Stat leaders for the Cards were: Issac Martinez with 21 points, Jorge Toledo with 4 points and 11 rebounds and Garrett Hurt with 8 points.
