------ The Lingleville Lady Cardinals were looking for a win as they headed to play Poolville Monday, Nov. 18.

The season started with a 34-33 heartbreaker to Brookesmith Thursday, Nov. 14.

“Our first game of the season was a hard fought loss to Brookesmith, but considering our team of eight girls is made up of four freshman, I am pretty pleased at the result,” said Lingleville head girls basketball coach Brandon Haught. “We got down early (15 to 4) but battled our way all the way back and were even leading 30 to 24 at one point.”

Leading scorers for the Lady Cards were Ciklali Rangel with 13 and Dylan Gibson with 6.

On Friday, Nov. 15, the Lingleville girls faced Graford in a 45-22 loss “Graford is a really solid program, and came in and played an excellent game,”said Haught. “However, I really think our girls stepped up big time in this game because you could immediately see their improvement compared to the night before.”

Leading scorers for the Graford game were Ciklali Rangel with 10 points and 10 rebounds and Kenleigh Jones with 7 points.

The Lady Cards then traveled to Millsap Tuesday, Nov. 19 to play the Bulldogs, who clinched the game 56-21.
