The Dublin Lady Lions brought a fierce battle to the Millsap Bulldogs Oct. 12 following a home loss to the Tolar Rattlers.
The Dublin volleyball girls fell within 8 points of Millsap on set 1, ending 25-17. The Lady Lions followed this with putting up 13 and 14 points in sets 2 and 3 respectively.
Assisting in these scores were Ingrid Hernandez with an ace, two kills and 5 digs and Adriana Stewart with 2 aces, a kill and 2 digs.
Bailey Watson was strong at the next with 8 blocks as well as 2 digs.
Summer Anderson provided a kill, 2 assists and a dig. Olivia Salyer had a kill, a block and a dig.
Emma Mitchell had 2 assists and a dig while Derby Kukla had a kill and a dig.
Haden Keilers and Yasmin Esparza each secured 4 digs.
This followed an Oct. 8 fight with Tolar where Dublin scored 6, 14 and 7 before Tolar got to 25.
Watson aided in the fight, providing an ace, 3 kills and a block.
Sandra Vazquez led Dublin in digs with 6 while Esparza had 4 and Keilers had 3.
Emma Mitchell aided teammates with 4 assists and a dig. Summer Anderson also provided 2 assists and a dig.
Derby Kukla had a kill and 2 digs while Oilivia Salyer had a kill and a block.
