BROWNWOOD

GOOD. Water stained; 88 degrees; 3.41 feet below pool. Black bass are fair with catches up to 5.40 pounds on Hag’s F4 tornadoes in purple haze on the ledges, shaky heads off the rocks and brush piles in 12-20 feet around the mid lake to upper end. Crappie are slow around docks with brush on minnows in 15-18 feet of water. White bass are slow on crappie jigs, trolling crankbaits and some schooling action around the lake. Catfish are good with catches up 15 pounds on prepared bait at baited holes or drifting cut bait on the main lake flats.

GRANBURY

GOOD. Water stained; 87 degrees; 0.61 feet below pool. Granbury water temperatures are in the upper 80s to low 90s. Thermoclines are present in 15-20 feet of water. Striped bass fishing is slow to fair with 10 pound catches on live bait fished on the lower ends near underwater points. Sand bass are fair on spinnerbaits fished from Indian Harbor to Blue Water Shores. Look for fish feeding on the surface of shallow flats. Largemouth bass are slow to fair with 7 pound catches on deep diving crankbaits and soft plastics fished near creek entrances and near deeper docks. Look for bass near shaded areas around those docks. Crappie fishing continues to be slow to fair on small jigs and minnows near submerged timber midlake. Crappie are suspended in 10-15 feet of water. Catfish are biting on humps and flats on the main lake, however, the best reports are from night fishing near creek entrances.

POSSUM KINGDOM GOOD. Water stained; 86 degrees; 0.82 feet below pool. Striper is fair to slow with live bait putting a few fish in the boat every trip. Downriggers are very slow at the moment, really any kind of artificial bait is fishing slow at the moment. Good colors are white and chartreuse to try are. Look for fish in 30-50 feet of water. Sand bass are still slow, look for them in 10-20 feet of water with live shad or small slabs and jigs. You may need to cast bait to the fish to keep from spooking them out of the area. White and silver are good bait colors. Catfish are fair with cut shad and your favorite brand of stink bait, also known as punch bait. Producing good numbers of fish in 5-20 feet of water fished on or near the bottom.

PROCTOR

SLOW. Water stained; 85 degrees; 3.47 feet below pool. Fishing is slow for all species. Catfish are slow but can be caught from the bank on punch bait, in deep with cut bait, or on jug lines.

WEATHERFORD

FSLOW. Water heavily stained; 87 degrees; 2.56 feet below pool. The lake is heavily stained with about 6 inches of visibility compared to the normal 1 foot. Catfish are slow along the rocks with cut bait and shad. Crappie are fair to good on rocks and brush with minnows. Bass are slow on deeper water ledges with crankbaits and soft plastics.
