Dublin Lions and their parents walked off the field of their final home game a little dirtier… but in a good way.
The Lions took the field for senior night on Tuesday, April 23, escorted by friends and family as they were presented with special gifts by teammates.
After the presentation, the Lions faced the Brock Eagles in a punishing 15-1 loss that ended after the fifth inning.
The sting was soothed by a special presentation devised by senior parents though as family (and coaches) joined seniors Jacob Arnal, Cameron Patton, Kevin Patton, Charlie Rasberry and Aiden Salyer as they took their last turn around the bases.
Once they got to home plate, they gathered soil and placed it in personalized glass containers for a keepsake of the era that ended last week.
