50 years ago September 30, 1971 Susan Warren was named the 1971 Miss Dublin during the Fall Fair. Runner up was Sue King. Paula Hamilton was named Fall Fair Queen with Mickie Hodges named runner up. Little Miss Fall Fair was Tammy Bolton.

September 17 At 8:24 p.m. the dwi driver of a one-vehicle roll over appeared to be dazed and injured after being found roaming lost in a pasture on Hwy 108 North. September 19 At 2:05 p.m. a grass fire caused by welders was called in on FM 1188 West. September 21 At 10:28 a.m.

September 13 A reporting person advised Dublin PD of a reckless driver on Highway 6 west of Dublin. September 15 A caller reported a loud argument behind the 200 block of W. Live Oak. September 17 Dublin PD was advised of someone trying to break into their car at around 4 a.m. in the 300 block of N.

In the Neighborhood

Hico News Review Visitors on ATVs and motorcycles were spotted around Hico on Sept. 18 for a ‘poker run’ sponsored by the Hico Chamber of Commerce. Participants were able to drive to locations on country roads around the area and pick up a playing card, vying for the best hand.
