Harbin VFD hosting BBQ fundraiser/raffle Harbin Volunteer Fire Department will host a BBQ fundraiser at the fire hall on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. will all proceeds benefitting the VFD. Drive through and sit down meals will be available. The band will be there as well.

Legion sets Veterans’ Day program Nov. 11

Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony will be held Thursday November 11 at The Erath County courthouse. Program begins at 10:30 a.m. and will conclude at 11 a.m.

October 8 At 4:47 p.m. a two-vehicle accident happened on CR 340, no injuries. At 9:05 p.m. a vehicle went through a fence and slammed into a tree on CR 277, no injuries. October 10 At 9:41 p.m.

October 5 Dublin PD was informed of someone in a silver car throwing beer bottles out of the window in the Family Dollar parking lot. A reporting person called Dublin PD to say they had more information on a theft that had previously occurred.

Fall Festival provides fun, photo ops

Plenty of fun and photo ops were on tap at the Dublin Elementary Fall Festival Thursday at the Dublin Memorial stadium. activities included a cake walk, a NERF shooting range, and face painting. Dublin volunteer firefighters also let kids get a closer look at DVFD fire trucks.

Retirement party for Cain tonight

The community is invited to attend a reception honoring the retirement and career of Judge Latrelle Cain. The reception will be held tonight (Thursday) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Dublin community building between First National Bank and Dublin Dairy Queen.
