Dublin Intermediate announced three new members to the Milion Word Club. Sixth grader Dylan Cisneros (above) has reached the multi million word club with a whopping 3,338,621 words at a 91% passing rate. Fourth grader Mathew Hamilton (right) has read 1.025,608 words with an 86% passing rate.

Lions place high in track

Two Dublin Lions ended their tracks season with strong runs at Regionals at Abilene Christian University on Friday and Saturday. Mosiah Lolohea placed 5th in the shot put while Tyler Harrell finished fifth in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump. —Citizen staff report

Dublin residents have been receiving letters from the United States Postal Service Office of the Inspector General stating that pieces of first-class mail have been recovered as part of a mail theft investigation.

More than a dozen locals gathered on the evening of April 26 in the Dublin Community Building by First National Bank to learn about wildfire prevention in an event sponsored by Erath County Emergency Management and the Texas A&M Forest Service.

Election Day is Saturday

A total of 1,920 Erath County voters cast their ballot in early voting for the May 7 general elections as of 9 a.m. Tuesday. There were 305 in Dublin, where voters are facing contested races for three Dublin ISD School Board positions.

Officers memorial set May 10
