Egg stuffing event Saturday

Wyndi Veigel-Gaudette Content Editor A smorgasbord of Easter eggs will be available for stuffing at the communitywide Easter Egg Stuffing Party Saturday, March 8.The event is set from 9 a.m. to noon at The Station between Dairy Queen and First National Bank.

Thursday Club learns about Post Oak Savannah Region

The Woman’s Thursday Club gathered Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Patrick St Church of Christ annex for our third study session hosted by Pam Crabtree, who introduced us to the Post Oak Savannah Ecoregion in East Texas.

Petition gains enough signatures to stop CO

The city of Stephenville has validated and accepted a petition containing 544 valid signatures protesting the issuance of certificate of obligations in an amount not to exceed $22 million.Further discussion related the matter will be on the March 18 city council agenda.

For the Long Haul

I‘ve had no CDL; my husband has so I picked up some of a trucker’s lingo. Some get ‘dedicated’ routes going to and from the same destination. Others drive ‘local’ such as UPS or FedEx. The majority of big-rig drivers go ‘cross country; they’re in it for the long haul.
