Lady Lions face hurdles in hoops

The Dublin Lady Lions fought through obstacles as they took on Eastland and Early last week.This included facing a bigger bench in Eastland as one of their players returned.“[Eastland’s] Number 1 stayed hot most of the game,” said head Lady Lions coach Kim Perez.

Lingleville Cardinals 3-0 in district

Lady Cardinal clash settled in OT

Cardinals fans had their pulses racing as the team hosted Walnut Springs in a close back and forth battle Friday, Jan. 3.“We found ourselves down by 6 at half and managed to tie the game back up in the 3rd,” said head Lingleville girls basketball coach Brandon Haught.

Lions climb to second after W

Dublin Lions were sitting at second place in district following a 42-36 win over Breckenridge Friday, Jan. 3.“I’m really proud of how our guys handled a rough and physical game,” said head Dublin boys basketball coach Wes Grisham.

Erath athletes named all-state

Several local athletes were recognized on the state level last week as the Texas Press Association announced the Blue Bell/ Texas Sports Writers Association’s allstate volleyball teams.
