EDC approves grants

The Dublin Economic Development Corporation approved several grants during its regular board meeting and unanimously voted to start meeting the last Tuesday of the month, starting in October. The decision to switch the meeting days stems from scheduling conflicts with other groups.

September 21 A report was made that DPS was in pursuit with a stolen motorcycle out of Dallas that was wrecked by the motorist and he fled on foot and was coming to Dublin on Hwy 6. September 22 A report was made of credit/debit card fraud on the 300 block of Trowbridge.

September 19 At 10:17 p.m. shots fired were heard at a party on CR 370 where there was a party a few weeks prior and piglets were found shot in someone’s yard. September 20 At 4:43 p.m. two palomino horses were penned after being found in a driveway on CR 351, awaiting owner.

Tarleton PD earns prestigious honor

The Tarleton State University Police Department has earned “recognized” status from the Texas Police Chiefs Association, making it the 165th agency in the state to receive the honor since 2006.

DPS reminds public of waivers for CDLs

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is reminding the public that the State of Disaster Declaration in response to COVID-19 remains in effect, and includes the waiver of expiration dates for commercial driver licenses (CDL).
