BROWNWOOD

Water lightly stained; 53 degrees; 2.75 low. Largemouth bass are slow with crankbaits, spoons, and hair jigs near creeks, rocky shorelines, and fallen timber. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs in brush piles and timber near a creek channel. White bass and hybrids are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair on punch bait and cut bait in 15-25’ near baited areas.

GRANBURY

Water clear; 53 degrees; 0.05 low. Largemouth bass are fair on shad pattern crankbaits, suspended jerk baits, and red/black flipping jigs in 14-22’ near creek bends, rocky areas, and rock ledges. Crappie fishing is fair around brush piles and boat docks with minnows and minnow-tipped jigs. Catfishing is fair with cut bait or punch bait. White bass are fair using white or chrome slabs and jigging spoons. Stripers are fair with live bait along the main lake channel in 20-35”.

POSSUM KINGDOM

Water clear; 54 degrees; 0.45’ low. Largemouth bass are good, closely working rocks and rocky banks, boat docks, and island vegetation on worms, crankbait, and spinners. Crappie are fair on jigs around shallow water rocks. White bass are fair on jigs, slabs, and spoons off drops, and peninsulas. Striped bass are fair trolling live shad and jigs. Catfish are good on cut bait, live sunfish, and stinkbait.

Largemouth bass are fair on crankbaits, suspended jerk baits, green/ orange skirted jigs, purple or black drop shots in brush, creeks, and rocky shorelines in 14-28’. Hybrid stripers are fair with live bait in the main lake around 23-35’. Crappie are fair with minnows in 14-28’ in standing timber and brush piles. Catfish are fair on cut bait.

WEATHERFORD

Water lightly stained; 53 degrees; 1.61 low. Largemouth bass are fair on crawfish colored football jigs, chrome crankbaits, and blue/green spinners near rocky shorelines and points, fallen timber, and brush. White bass are slow in 20-35’ with slabs. Crappie are fair on minnows around docks, marinas, and submerged cover. Catfish are fair on cut bait and punch bait.

WHITNEY

Water clear; 54 degrees; 2.78 low. Black bass are fair on creek ledges, flooded timber, ridges, and dropoffs on suspended jerk baits, diving crankbaits, black or purple drop shots, and black/red skirted jigs. White bass are fair on the main lake channel with jigging spoons and slabs. Stripers are good with live shad along the main lake river channel edges in 20-35’. Crappie are fair with minnows in 14-25’ timber near creek channels and brush piles. Catfish are good on punch bait and cut bait.
