Cooper Rudd, a FFA member from Dublin captured Reserve Champion Heifer with Gypsy Hill Kid Rock Pineapple E in the Jersey Classification at the 2022 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo on January 18.

Tarleton Rodeo gets $1M gift

When Larry Gandy graduated from Dublin High School in 1996, he knew he wanted to get out and see the world. So after a year of working in town, Gandy joined the Air Force. He was first stationed in Alaska, where he learned a trade: working on safety features of Air Force planes.

Deadline to file in City, DISD races Feb. 18

Filing is underway for three city and three school elections to be held in Dublin during the May 7 general election. Deadline to file is Feb. 18 by 5 p.m. On the school side, the positions held by Pat Leatherwood, Anjelica Salyer and Bob Cervetto are up for election.

Erath County Emergency Management Coordinator Cyndi Smith reported 76new cases of COVID-19 in Erath County in the most recent report Monday. The report also included a total of 69 probable cases of COVID that have gone unreported.

Lions Club raffling fire pit Dublin Lions Club is raffling off a fire pit-grill to raise money for a Dublin High School band scholarship. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. The drawing will be held during the St. Patrick’s Day celebration in March. The grill can be seen at Bradberry’s Best.

Transformation Pathway, Dublin’s resident Christian Women’s/Men’s Job Corps, has announced the return of the Love Run 5k and mile fun run on Saturday. The 4th Annual Love Run 5k and Mile Fun Run is set for Feb. 12 by the Dublin Public Library with registration/check-in from 8 a.m.-8:45 a.m.
