There will be a Forage Program March 8, 2022, at the Texas AgriLife Research Center (1229 North US HWY 281). The program is hosted by Erath Texas AgriLife Extension Service. Registration will begin at 9:30. The Program will be from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Tarleton hosting Star Party Friday

Tarleton’s College of Science and Technology will host its free spring Star Party at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, at the Hunewell Ranch observatory. Stars and deep space objects will be visible through Tarleton’s 32-inch reflecting research telescope and several smaller scopes.

DEDC continues helping Dublin

The Dublin Economic Development board met in regular session on February 22, 2022 (2/22/22). Unfortunately, they were unable to meet at 2:22:22, but the meeting did continue the trend of producing positive results for Dublin.

MUSEUM MATTERS

His name was Jake Hamon. He was an oil man, politician and railroad tycoon from Ardmore, Oklahoma and apparently he had plenty of money. He decided to build a railroad from Breckenridge to Dublin in 1919.

KoC fish fry starts Friday

The Stephenville Knights of Columbus begin their annual Lenten Fish Fry Friday, March 4 at Newman Hall. The weekly event will run from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Fridays thru April 8. The meal will consist of fish, coleslaw, hushpuppies, french fries, tea, and dessert. Prices this year are $15 on all orders.
