Sounding off for Christmas

The Dublin ISD Symphonic Concert Band, Jr. High Band, Beginner Band and Jazz Band regaled packed stands with contemporary and classic Christmas songs in concert Thursday, Dec. 11. Seniors were also recognized with special keepsakes.

Library receives $375K grant for mental health

According to County Health Rankings, there is one Erath County mental health provider for every 750 residents. This is below the state average of 1 to 550 residents and the national average of 1 to 290.

Early Deadline set for Christmas

The Dublin Citizen will have an early deadline for the week of Christmas.Instead of Tuesday, Dec. 23, the paper will be sent to press Monday, Dec. 22.Editorial deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 and classifieds/ legal advertising will be noon Monday, Dec. 22.

DPD working to snuff vape dangers

TxDOT issues update

Though everyone in Dublin is probably asking Santa for less construction, an update from TxDOT was provided to the Dublin Citizen last week.

Teacher Incentive program to start

Initial approval for DISD to join the state’s Teacher Incentive Allotment program was given by the school board during its Monday, Dec. 15 board meeting. Dublin ISD just started the initial 3-year process with the first step being a teacher survey seeing if they were interested in starting the TIA.
