Dublin FFA students compete at state

The first-year Dublin FFA Nursery/Landscape Team took on the State FFA Nursery/Landscape Contest at Sam Houston State University Friday, April 24. 

“For a first-year team, Mikey Resindez, Joselyn Perez, Zoey Soria, and Gracey Lowery put in the extra hours—learning hands-on at Texas Sage, Country Flower Plant Farm, and Wolfe Nursery to sharpen their skills,” Dublin FFA advisors reported. “We appreciate the local business support in allowing us to conduct weekly practices at their greenhouses! The team placed 5th at Area to qualify and reportedly identified 124 nursery plants (with common and scientific names), 41 tools and 18 pests, weeds, & diseases differentiated.


The Dublin FFA Milk Quality Team of Jayden Rojas, Annabelle Delgado and Paul Adams placed 20th in state competition Thursday, April 23 at Tarleton. FFA advisors reported the team outscored every other team in the area at the state contest.
