DISD approves tax rate, reports COVID

The Dublin ISD School Board unanimously approved the 2020-21 tax rate during the regular meeting Monday night. In approving the $1.1973 per $100 valuation tax rate ($1.1973 for M&O and .15763 for I&S), it was reported that, although the rate is lower than the previous rate of $1.

Tuesday is officially election day in the special election for Texas Senate District 30. Early voting is being held at the Erath County Courthouse from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and tomorrow. Polling locations will be open on election day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The 2020 Dublin High School Homecoming King and Queen were officially crowned during Friday morning’s pep rally and Friday night’s homecoming game respectively. Manuel Garcia was named the 2020 King while Bryten Ballenger was named the 2020 Queen.
