EDC talks grants, new website

In a packed agenda, the Dublin Economic Development Corporation approved grants and took steps to complete its new website.The board unanimously approved (board member Darrell Curry was absent) a $2,500 marketing grant for Byrn Rodeo Productions after a successful event occurred in August.

Canines & Coffee set for Sept. 6 Erath County Humane Society will be hosting its 2nd annual Canines & Coffee 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 6 at the shelter.There will be vendors, games for the kids, bouncy house and live music along with TikTok Influencer Nick Luciano.

County, city rolling out tire collection

Erath County and the City of Dublin are hosting a free tire disposal event Saturday, Sept. 6 at the public works yard (602 N. Norton).Tires will be collected from 8 a.m. to noon or until the trailer is full.

Trail Ride set for Saturday

A chance to step back into time will take place this Saturday as the Third Annual Mason Brooks Memorial Ride for Sobriety Trail Ride will take place.The ride is $25 per rider and there are still a few spots available in chuckwagons for those who may not want to ride a horse.
