Tarleton State University President James Hurley recapped successes and shared his vision for invigorating tomorrows in his annual State of the University address Wednesday, calling 2020 a record-setting year on all fronts.

October 4-10, 2020, is National Fire Prevention Week. Fire Prevention Week has been an annual event in the U.S. since 1925 and it was President Calvin Coolidge that made the first proclamation. The week is held in October to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire of 1871.

Electronics recycling event set Oct. 23-24

A free electronic recycling event is open to Erath County residents with drop-off locations scheduled for Dublin and Stephenville. Dublin residents will be able to drop off old and outdated electronics locally in the Dublin Annex parking lot (219 S. Grafton) on Friday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
