A crowd of avid aviation enthusiasts joined at the Dublin Municipal Airport 9f0 on Saturday for the annual lightsport fly-in. Spectators and pilots were able to talk about the hobby as they enjoyed coffee and donuts in the morning and Swigs BBQ in the afternoon.

As early as August 1962 there were concerns about the Soviet Union shipping missiles to Cuba. Reports on the ground said that trucks were passing through small towns in Cuba with loads that were too long to make turns.

Wicked weekend honed for Halloween

Dublin is invited to get into the Halloween and fall spirit with several activities staged for the weekend of Oct. 31 including safe trick or treat, a drive-in circus at the Dublin City Park and a youth rodeo on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

Electronics recycling event set Oct. 23-24

A free electronic recycling event is open to Erath County residents with drop-off locations scheduled for Dublin and Stephenville. Dublin residents will be able to drop off old and outdated electronics locally in the Dublin Annex parking lot (219 S. Grafton) on Friday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
