Erath County officials reported 42 new cases of COVID-19 in the report f r o m Monday night (Jan. 11). Twenty-six of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, three were from Dublin and 13 were rural residents of the county.

100 years Jan. 14, 1921 The public was invited to the White Crest Flour Demonstration being held at the Dublin Music Co. on January 13, 14 and 15. A free lunch was provided and two sacks of White Crest Flour were given away each afternoon – a 48 lb bag and 24 lb bag. 75 years Jan.

Hico News Review The Hico Clinic began COVID vaccinations for those on the wait list last week. People ages 65 and up and those with underlying health issues are some of the first in line to receive the vaccine.

SBA re-opens PPP

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), in consultation with the Treasury Department, announced on Friday that the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) re-opened this week (Jan. 11 - Jan. 15) for new borrowers and certain existing PPP borrowers.

On Monday, Governor Greg Abbott held a press conference in Arlington where he provided an update on Texas’ COVID-19 vaccine distribution efforts. Prior to the press conference, the Governor attended a briefing and toured the mass COVID-19 vaccination site at the Arlington Expo Center.
