A red emergency phone has been installed inside the entryway allowing visitors to immediately reach county dispatch after Dublin switched its dispatch services to Erath County Sheriff’s Office. The change will not affect any of the staff of Dublin Police Department, Dublin EMS and Dublin Volunteer Fire Department. Dublin dispatch moves to ECSO

The Dublin dispatch has officially been relocated to the Erath County Sheriff’s Office but Dublin Police Chief Cameron Ray assures that this change won’t mean that much to the Dublin population.

Erath County Elections Coordinator Michelle Alcon reported that 12,229 county voters had cast their ballots in-person and 1,184 absentee ballots had been cast during early voting for the Nov. 3 General Election. This translates to 56.

Erath County officials reported eight new cases of COVID-19 in the report from Thursday night (Oct. 29). Five of these new positive cases were from within the city limits of Stephenville, one was from Dublin and two were rural residents of the county.

From the beginning of recorded sound in 1877 when Edison created his first phonograph, attempts have been made to make life like sound recordings. Early recordings were made by having a band and singer perform into a huge funnel shaped metal cone that had a thin diaphragm and a needle in the apex.

A trailer parked at the Dublin Annex on S. Grafton was filled with everything from old televisions to printers to Christmas lights Friday morning as part of a twoday Electronics recycling event for Erath County. The Dublin collection saw good usage despite some light rain that morning.
