Winter storm advisories prompted the rescheduling of two events set for Saturday.

Love Run 5K

The Transformation Pathway, Dublin’s Christian Women/Men Job Corps Love Run 5K and Fun Run was recheduled to March 13 to accompany St. Patrick’s Day festivities.Saturday, Feb. 13.

Organizers encourage everyone to bring the whole family, promising a fun event for all ages and fitness levels.

Registration to the 5K is $30 for runners 18 and over and $25 for runners under 18. Admission to the fun run/walk is free.

Proceeds will go toward helping the ministry’s vision of making a positive impact on our community by offering a new pathway to reduce spiritual and economic poverty through mentoring, relationships, job preparedness and life skills, while teaching God’s word.

Heart of Dublin Mixer

The Dublin Chamber of Commerce has rescheduled the Heart of Dublin Mixer to Feb. 23 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the National Health and Public Safety History Museum.

The evening event will cost $10 per person and include wine and hors d’oeuvres in and outside the newly relocated museum, offering plenty of room to social distance. The event will provide the opportunity for the community to meet with Chamber members, including the new board of directors and Executive Director.

The new museum’s exhibits will be open to attendees so they can check out the informative displays and take part in some unique photo-ops.

The NHPSHM is located at 126 E. Blackjack in the former Dublin Rotary building which has been renovated into a nationally recognized museum about America’s health and response history with information and recognition of the legacies left behind by thousands of responders, innovators and heroes from over three centuries.
