Peach workshop Friday

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will hold an event dedicated to everything peaches on July 30 in San Angelo. The cost is $30 for the event, which will run from 1-5 p.m. at the Tom Green County 4-H Center, 3168 N. U.S. Hwy 67. Registration is available through tomgreen.agrilife.

Entries due for songwriter Classic

Deadline for entering the 2021 Texas Troubadour Songwriter Classic at the Bosque Arts Center in Clifton, TX, is August 3. Marty Haggard, son of country music legend Merle Haggard, will select the winners of the $3,000 in cash prizes and will headline the live concert event on November 6, 2021.

DABC tourney set Saturday

The annual Dublin Athletic Booster Club Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament has been set for Saturday, July 31, at PAR Country Club. Entry fees for the 4-person scramble are $50 per person or $200 per team. All entry fees include green fees, cart, breakfast and lunch. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m.

July 16 At 11:58 a.m. a vehicle ran off the road and wrecked on FM 8 West at CR 365, no injuries. At 5:53 p.m. two wreckers were needed after a pickup rear ended a vehicle on FM 8 West at CR 397, injuring one driver’s leg. At 8:26 p.m.
