When you drive down East Blackjack, there is a prominent two story building with the orange brick that you have seen a million times. It is located across the street from the Hogan Museum. It was originally designed to have offices upstairs and two merchant businesses downstairs.

Fall festival planned Oct. 22

Greens Creek Nation at Greens Creek Baptist Church invites everyone to come out and attend its annual Kids Fall Festival Saturday, Oct. 22. It all starts with activities from 4 to 6 p.m. with food and fellowship at 6 p. m.

Bountiful giving

Larry Stanford with the Stephenville Area Elks Lodge No. 2834 presented First Methodist Church with a check for $1,837.32 for use with the Community table supper and food pantry. Pastor Danny Pelton accepted the funds on behalf of the church.

Cameron Ray donned a pair of red pumps for a project with the Cross Timbers Family Services in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Offi cials throughout the county are wearing heels to “Walk in her shoes” to bring awareness to the number of domestic violence cases in Erath County.
