Community Table serving free meal The Community Table at Dublin First Methodist Church is now serving meals in the fellowship hall as well as performing deliveries. The meals are free to the community the last Wednesday of every month, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The headline in the Dublin Progress read “A Fatal Tragedy. Constable Adams Shot to Death on the Streets of Dublin. Two Deadly Charges from a Breech loading Shotgun Does the Work. He was killed instantly.” It happened at the corner of Blackjack and Patrick streets around 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 18, 1897.

The program for the November meeting of the Bosque River Chapter of Daughters of the Republic of Texas was presented by chapter member Sheran Weible of Dublin. She researches clothing from various periods of history and sews many garments herself.
