Season offers spook-tacular events

Spooky season is upon us as Halloween approaches, and there are many fun events in the area. In Dublin, there will be several options for Halloween fun including the Safe Trick or Treating hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and a Trunk or Treat hosted by the Stephenville Area Elks Lodge 2834.

Scarecrow contest now underway Dublin Public Library is inviting the community to join in the fall spirit with a Build Your Own Scarecrow contest benefitting the local library. The cost is $50 for businesses and $25 for residents to enter. Deadline to register has been extended until Oct.

Mieca Faye Mudd

Michael and Jessica Mudd are very excited to announce the birth of their daughter, Mieca Faye Mudd (nicknamed Gidget) that was given to her by her Papa. Mieca arrived at 8:24 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022 at Midlothian Methodist, Midlothian, Texas. She weighed 6 lb., 11 oz.

When Shane Brown was a senior at Dublin High School, he refused to cut his hair to the required length when he returned from summer break. The administrators gave him plenty of chances to comply, but that rule just didn’t make sense to Brown, and he was stubborn.
