Round-Up auction Oct. 22

The Stephenville Cattle Company will host its annual Round-Up for Rehab auction and gun raffle on Saturday, Oct. 22 at noon. Owners Troy and Cheryl Moore are once again hosting the sale of a wide variety of items benefiting the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.

This year will mark the 24th Annual Holiday Classic Beef, Lamb, Goat and Swine Clinic and Prospect Show. This year’s Holiday Classic will be November 5-6th, at the Belton County Expo in Belton. The barns open at 6 a.m. and all livestock need to be in the barn by 11 a.m.

Central Texas Crop Report

Temperatures were milder during the day and much cooler at night, but soil conditions, pastures and tanks remained dry. Rain was desperately needed throughout the district. Hay season was about over, and producers were looking for more bales. Rangeland and pasture conditions were very poor.

Dublin band at contest Saturday

The Dublin High School Sound of Dublin Marching Band will travel to Mineral Wells Saturday, Oct. 15 to compete in UIL contest. At 9 a.m. the band will run through its performance at the Dublin Stadium. At 9:30 a.m. they will load the trailer and have a uniform check before they hit the road.
