Back to School Fair bubbling with fun

A spirit of excitement filled the air Saturday as the annual Back to School Fair commenced at the Dublin Public Library.

Veterans Camp registration now open

A fun opportunity exists for Veterans through the annual Texas Elks Veteran’s Retreat.The retreat is being held Oct. 4-6 and the deadline to apply is Sept. 1.“Join us for a weekend that’s all about good vibes, great company, and honoring those who’ve served our nation!

Museum hosts first Dublin Cowboy Day event

The block around the Dublin Rodeo Heritage Museum was filled Saturday, July 27 with music, dancing, engines and history as the museum hosted its first planned National Day of the Cowboy Celebration.

22-year-old killed in foggy crash

Larry James Herron II, 22, from DeLeon was killed in a single vehicle accident Friday, July 26.According to DPS reports,Herron was driving a 2016 Toyota Corolla on State Hwy. 206, north of Burkett in Coleman County.He was reportedly travelling south on Hwy. 206 in heavy fog.

Lilly G sets September events

Lilly G Arena will host the annual Ride for Sobriety trail ride Sunday, Sept. 1, benefiting Dublin’s Christian Women’s Job Corps ministry and raising awareness of the dangers of drug addiction/use.The cost to enter is $35 per rider and will include two meals and a shirt.

Tarrant Food Bank awarded $32K

The Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) recently announced that a $32,000 grant from the Morgan Stanley Foundation will support its Ready To Learn in-school market programs to more effectively reach children and families facing hunger in the 13 counties they serve.
