Christmas contest to be judged Dec. 18

Those interested in this year’s home and business Christmas Lighting Contest only have a week left to spruce up their homes and yards for the Light Up the Night contest. The event is co-sponsored by The Dublin Citizen, The Dublin Chamber of Commerce and Revitalize Dublin.

Kids enjoy cookies and coloring at the counter at Dublin’s Doublin’ In downtown while waiting for their turn to tell Santa Claus their Christmas wishes following the Chamber of Commerce lighted parade Saturday, Dec. 7. Kids were also invited to write their letters to Santa while they waited.

It’s hard to believe that the first semester will be coming to an end on December 20th. Algebra I benchmark was on Wednesday, December 4th and we will have English I benchmark on December 10th and English II on December 11th. Biology and U.S. History will have benchmarks in January.

Lingleville riders to try luck in Vegas

Two Lingleville students are headed to Las Vegas after qualifying for some of the toughest rodeo competitions in the country.LHS Sophomore Alexa Aviles is competing in the Junior World Finals in Pole Bending Thursday, Dec. 11 and Friday, Dec. 13.
