AgriLife Extension district reporters compiled the following summary from the Central Texas district: Soil moisture levels were very short to adequate. Conditions were dry, with temperatures above 100 degrees. Strong winds and heavy rains did hit parts of the district.

The Dublin Public Library continues its Summer Reading schedule next week as it inspires creativity with music and art camp led by Sarah Warner Svadlenka. The All Together Music Camp held at 10 a.m. July 11-July 14 will guide kids age 5-10 through activities incorporating music and movement.

As soon as I wrote a column on Caps Lock, the lowercase, a.k.a. “minuscule” letters, demanded an essay of their own. The irony is that both of my Apple keyboards have decapitalized the command keys, leaving Caps Lock in a minor key.
