The Lingleville Cardinals claimed their first victory of the season as they traveled to Cranfills Gap Friday, Sept. 27.The game ended at the half under the mercy rule with Lingleville leading 51-0.

Lady Cards keep winning

The Lingleville Lady Cardinals volleyball girls extended their winning streak to five after a 4-set victory over Strawn Saturday, Sept. 28 in the Lingleville Gym.The Lady Cards took the court fired up and claimed set 1 25-16 over Santo who got energized in set 2 and took it 25-21.

The Dublin Lady Lions were looking for a volleyball triumph this week after losses to Millsap and Peaster last week.The Dublin girls scored 20, 24 and 18 in three sets against Millsap at home Tuesday, Sept. 17.Bailey Watson had 5 blocks and 2 aces.Adriana Stewart had 3 aces, 2 kills and a dig.

The Dublin stands were filled with big cheers and bigger mums Friday night as the Lions took on the Bowie Jackrabbits for homecoming.

GOOD. Water stained; 81 degrees; 0.40 feet below pool. Black bass are fair with catches up to 4 pounds being caught on buzz baits and frogs in the new water in the grass and weeds. Crankbaits will hook a catch off the rocks in 2-8 feet around the rock cuts.

The Dublin Lions will be showing off their green and gold spirit this week as Homecoming takes place.The Lions will face off against the Bowie Jackrabbits Friday night with kickoff at 7 p.m.Homecoming Queen coronation and Homecoming Court recognition will occur at 6:30 p.m.
