DBSA fields fundraiser

Players and crowds were at the Dublin City Park from 6 p.m. on Friday until after 5 a.m. on Saturday for an allnight adult co-ed tournament benefitting field work for the Dublin youth Baseball and Softball Association.

DABC tourney returns July 31

The annual Dublin Athletic Booster Club Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament has been set for Saturday, July 31, at PAR Country Club. Entry fees for the 4-person scramble are $50 per person or $200 per team. All entry fees include green fees, cart, breakfast and lunch. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m.

Youth hunter course set for Brownwood

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office of Brown County has announced a hunter education classroom course for novice or young hunters, ages 9-17. The event will be held July 27 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Brownwood Claybird Club, 5875 County Road 225, next to the Brownwood Country Club.

TPWD accepting drawn hunt applications

Hunters looking for a new opportunity or a change of scenery this fall are encouraged to check out the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s (TPWD) drawn hunt permits program. Applications are being accepted now for a shot at almost 10,000 permits in 61 hunt categories.
