Dear Toni, My brother recently had to move out of his house into as assisted living facility because he broke his hip and is unable to live on his own. The monthly cost of the facility is about $4500 per month and his adult children are having to help him financially.

In 1953 there was a Dublin mens baseball team that played in the Bosque Valley Baseball League. The Dublin Shamrocks would play ball against teams in other communities. It must have been during this period that a discussion came up about having little league teams in Dublin.

At one of my previous jobs, we passed around a special trophy. The trophy had to be earned in an unusual way. It sported a marble base, a tall plastic column, and, adorning the top of the infamous award, the trophy featured a gold plastic backend of a donkey.

In case you didn’t turn on a phone, TV or computer in the last week, the 95th Academy Awards was this past Sunday. Wyndi and I had actually watched many of the nominees in animation, acting and writing/ directing with a friend this year, so we ended up watching the ceremony.
