Citizen closed for holidays

The Dublin Citizen office will be closed Friday, Dec. 22 and Monday, Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas holidays. They will also be closed Thursday, Dec. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for an extended Christmas lunch for staff members. Deadlines will remain unchanged for the Dec.

Nora Carter and her husband, J.A., have led adventurous lives. After they retired from their careers, they spent 25 years traveling the country working at Baptist camps. Now the Carters are retired for good and enjoying their relaxing life on a family farm between Dublin and Stephenville.

What a magnificent steed! I had gone home after church service with a buddy. He had this beautiful horse, sleek, brown – very handsome specimen of a horse. He rode like an expert. I, on the other hand, had very little experience on horseback. But I didn’t want my buddy to know that.

Christians do not set out to judge GOD! But, inadvertently it still happens through the questioning of the unfairness of life. A wise Christian Professor, Frank Turek has recently stated: God has preordained for us to abide in free will. He doesn’t want robots, but people to love and worship Him.
