Restaurant menus have gone through a rapid evolution over the past few years. Gone are the doorstop-thick novels at places like The Cheesecake Factory; they’ve been replaced with QR codes so we can scroll through appetizers and entrees on our smartphones.

Isn’t it funny how our own tempers can ruin moments in which we’re truly grateful for those around us? No? It’s really sad and infuriating? Yeah, those words do seem more appropriate. This column finds your humble editor much happier, a little less stressed and feeling very foolish.
